Back to the Park

I'm still trying to figure out this whole "Stay-at-Home-Mom-of-Two" thing, while I'm on my maternity leave (half over already!). Since we have Maia at home 5 days a week, and at daycare 2 days a week (Tuesday/Thursday), and we have a beautiful summer to take advantage of... I'm working out how to fill our days and also get out the door before lunch time. So at the end of last week, we went back to the GR Township park, and I planned it for earlier in the day this time... so we could maximize shade and (try to) minimize heat.

There were also more kids there this time, and of those, more near Maia's age. While she generally preferred to play independently on this particular day, there were two boys (maybe 4 and 6) who tried to be inclusive of her. They'd even asked her to join them as their mom pushed them on the tire swing. Maia, oddly, declined.

She preferred to take her turn on the tire swing alone, later. And she had a great time.

Oh, and Parker? Parker slept in his stroller. The whole time.
