Exersaucer

Parker has been doing so well sitting up in his swing, that I thought maybe it was time to drag the Exersaucer up from the basement, clean off the dust (I like this Dapple Toy Spray, since I believe it's safe for children who like to get those toys in their mouths!)

Maia was so excited (she's been eyeing this toy in the laundry room for months) she wanted to get in it immediately herself. It took a lot of repetition to get her to consider that maybe, just maybe, she is too big for this toy, and it's really for babies.

I encouraged her to teach Parker how to use it, and told her she was welcome to play with the toys from the outside of the saucer. Parker did a great job at keeping himself upright, but his little arms weren't long enough to reach too many of the toys. He did, however, really enjoy it. The colors and noises were fascinating. Maia offered to read a book to him while he played. And she helped him put his paci back in.
Sorta.
There. That's better.
When Parker got tired of the toy though... Maia saw an opportunity. All that convincing I was trying to do? Yeah, not so much. Although she did sit there and laugh "I too big for this toy, momma!"
