The conversation in my car this morning, en route to daycare:
Maia: Parker, we have to go to school to learn stuff.
Parker: (pointing in another direction) Go dat waeeey!
Maia: Parker, don't you want to go to high school?
Parker: Ya!
Maia: First we have to go to school and then we have to get a lot of
shots, and then we can go to high school like Maura!
Parker: Oh-keeeeey!
(Maura is the big sister of one of Maia's friends, and a fellow
attendee at daycare. Maura is just finishing half-day kindergarten,
and is graduating out of the center to first grade next fall).
