Week 33

It was our last official Lamaze class this evening, and we're feeling more excited, and better prepared to at least practice on our own. It actually is difficult to learn all you need to know in 6 weeks. Not to mention, we missed one class due to our various injuries. So we're considering popping into a make up class next week. Next on the agenda - visit the pediatrician's office, do some more research into a potential home-based, licensed daycare provider we found (relief!), and finish getting some stuff done around the house. We finally got the valances hung in the baby's room this weekend, and I've mostly washing the newborn to 3 month clothing. Ray is perplexed: "This is so tiny! How do you fold it?" Next we need to move the cradle and the rocking chair to our room, which should make it easier to set up the baby's room. I still need to hang the wall decorations... but it's starting to come together. OB visit this morning was good. Came with a list of labor and delivery questions today, and they were answered to our satisfaction. I feel confident that my OB is planning on being patient enough not to rush us, and therefore help us avoid unwanted and unnecessary interventions that can come because of impatience. So... fingers crossed our baby is born on Monday-Thursday when he takes his own call (he's only on call every 1 in 6 weekends). I'm measuring at 34 cm - still a week ahead (which is still within normal range, but I'm telling her that means she needs to come a week EARLY, or right on time... not LATE!). Heartbeat was in the 140s today.
