Wait a Second... what happened to Spring?

March came in like a lamb and went out like a summer this year. It seemed like April was over-all much colder than March. We had some 80º days!

We did this on St. Patrick's Day.

And Maia helped me in the garden a little.

 By the end of the weekend, we were sweaty!

To Grandma and Papa's house we go...

On the Saturday before Easter (the same day we visited Mr. E. Bunny), we headed over to Grandma and Papa's house to spend most of the day with them.  Maia and Papa took their dog, Casey, for a walk to the park, just a few blocks away. Maia even got to hold Casey's leash for part of the way.

In the afternoon, we did some more playing outside.

 Papa gave wheelbarrow rides.

 And also let us check out his lawn tractor... which the kids were marginally less afraid of this time.

And I think, that night... sleep was good for two little coppertops, and a big coppertop too!

And then...

Parker got sick. His lingering runny nose turned into a fever, and lots of coughing keeping him up.  I didn't figure it was much, but I always worry those tubes have fallen out and he's got another ear infection.  Well, they haven't. So that's good. But...

He had pneumonia.

A mild case, fortunately, but it made for one difficult week as we tried to juggle work and home schedules, and comfort our sick boy, until he felt well enough to go back to school.  And while we waited, I tried to get him outside to enjoy some fresh air.

So we mowed the driveway.

And we checked out some rocks.
