Here are a couple of vids. I never think to take videos until she's been on her tummy for too long, and she's about done. She's really not this whiney all the time. But the succession of videos shows you how far she's moving... generally backward or to the side.
She LOVES to do this kicking thing. Her little legs are going like this most of the time. Sitting, reclining, being carried... kick kick kick.
She has, however, recently started to get up on her hands and knees and rock back and forth a few times lately. She's also taken a few lunges forward. However... with this child, this seems to be NO predictor whatsoever of how soon it will be until she gets herself crawling. She'll start to figure something out, and then not do it again for months. So. We'll see. I should probably start baby-proofing the house soon anyway, though!

Moving... but backwards and to the side!

Superbowl Sunday
So we had a small super bowl party last Sunday with my folks, sister Kathleen, Bro-in-law Andrew, Andrew's sister Sarah, and her friend Dave.
Maia had managed to scratch her face really well this day. But she enjoyed watching the game nonetheless.
She enjoys chewing on and licking cold beverages. This is just after she let go.
And a couple random sleepy pics. She's doing better sleeping through the night again... but really likes to cuddle up with mom and dad.
