Maia's Birthday Party!

After Maia's nap (none of us bothered to get out of our pajamas until after noon), she had a snack (plum) and got to pick out her polish color for her special day. I've done her toes a few times, but never her fingers (they're in her mouth too often, even if I am using non-toxic Piggy Paint). She was delighted. I tried to talk her into alternating pink and green on every finger/toe. She declined, and chose girlie pink for every little nail.

So she got all fancied up for her party, but wouldn't keep the bow in her hair.
There was lots of playing, and Maia was quite eager to get started with her presents right away... so we let her get to it before we ate.

Adrian, Gracie and Lydia all wanted to help.
She got some things girlie...
... and did a nice job sharing (most of the time, although we did hear a few "NO-wahDas not fo' you!" if she was not interested in sharing).
She took some pictures with her new camera... extreme closeups of her face, for example.
And loved all the Elmo stuff around the house. Balloons. Plates. Napkins. Cake.
She was delighted with everyone singing Happy Birthday to her, and reciprocated by singing it to others (Parker, Aunt Kathleen, Parker again...)
She put away a bite or two of cake... and shoveled in a LOT more of the ice cream with her fingers.
When asked how old she was, she insisted "Four Weeks!"
