A hot weekend. A hot week after. 90º+ and 70%+ humidity. And my first week of sending Maia to daycare for only 2 days a week instead of 5. I'm not terribly experienced as a "Stay-at-home-mom" of two, and so a few extra days of trying to figure out how to keep a toddler busy... well, we made a LOT of use of her water table. In the morning. Before it was even hotter. Or in the later afternoon, when it was getting cooler.
Maia loves to drink the water out of her table, even if she has a perfectly good cup of cold water (with ice cubes!) right next to her. |
Maia in her water table. A fight I can no longer win. Fortunately, she's pretty safe, so far, and hasn't jumped. |
Apparently no one told her people with red hair (and of my gene pool) don't tan! |
If we throw this ball in the water, it makes a big splash! |
We started a new, fun game where Maia pours water on Momma's legs, and Momma says "OooOoOo! That's COLD!" And Maia giggles a lot and does it again. "Agin Momma!" |
"I find anudder one, bee, momma? Bee inna flowers, momma!" |
