This sign, which I think is very funny, is up the street from Raymond and Effie's house.
Grandma Effie chases after Maia while Ray takes photos of the scenery from atop a ladder.
Maia took a liking to this Macoun
She liked the apple so well, she had no desire to let it go! She was quiet and single-minded about devouring this for maybe half an hour... in and out of the car.
In the midst of this orchard, was this tiny little cemetery.
After choosing our apples, it was time to go pay for them, do the tourist-y bits and get our cider donuts!
In the evening, Maia and I went to see my old friend, Danielle and her son, Ian. Danielle and I used to work at the doctors' office together, and hadn't seen each other over our last couple of visits. Ian is about 9 months older than Maia and so they had a play date.... Maia's first one! We had pizza... Maia chowed about 3 pieces (even taking some of Ian's, much to Danielle's delight and amusement. No prissy girl here... she can eat!). That evening was over much too quickly.
What a great day!
